Share the ad groups and keywords so thematically on, choose the geographical area that you want to cover and specify which language your audience speaks. This allows researchers the right ads.

Keywords (keywords), and selection

For an ad campaign may be starting, it is necessary to properly reflect on the keywords. The more relevant and more specific, the less competition and lower the cost per click. General food advertising budget in a furious pace and bring in relevant traffic to the site. Choose not only in general terms, but also more specific and multiple search terms. Also use the search options for Google AdWords: Broad, phrase, exact and exclude. The more specific the keywords used in a query, how the viewfinder is in the marketing stage to say yes to these multiple keywords are cheaper and generate at least as many conversions as a single.

Ad texts

Choosing the right keywords alone will not ensure that your advertising campaign a success. Ad Texts that the attention of visitors and encourage them to take action are equally important. Meaningless or irrelevant texts will not be clicked or low and not bring visitors to your website. Write different ad texts per ad, Google (read how to use Google AdWords effectively) will alternately show the best performing tasks. It is then most often shown. A handy tool for the ads more attractive to the surfer is using dynamic keyword insertion. For example, the query that the user has entered in the search bar inserted in the ad text. The attention of the surfer is towed and where your ad is different from the competition.

Analyze and Optimize

Keywords cost money, but only if they are clicked. But how do you determine the optimal price / quality of a click? The position and rotation of the ads is based on a bidding system. If your cost per click low will the ads or not on a low position. Set your price too high then the budget is as soup ended. Google also has a quality score by the popularity of keywords and ads have to take. A high click-through rate and conversion rate will have a positive impact on the cost per click. To offer you a smaller budget more visitors to your website.

OML asked:

Just a brief overview of how Adbrite operates.

Want to target your ads to specific demographics – you can with Adbrite.

In the competitive landscape of online marketing it’s nice to find a company that works closely with you. Whether you are an advertiser trying to optimize your campaigns or a publisher trying to maximize your revenue, they work with you and are flexible rather than stonewalling you without an answer. Also, there’s a huge marketplace of publishers to buy ads from, and a large pool of advertisers who want to buy ads.

AdBrite Tips and Tricks

Quality: You may judge the quality of a publisher’s site based on several criteria including Alexa rank, number of page views, number of AdBrite ads (do they show just one or four), and their ad location (upper fold of the site or bottom of the page).

Ad location: If there’s one ad at the top of the page, that’s ideal. But make sure that the ads are visible and in the upper fold, if not, then the price should reflect the site’s ad visibility. For example, if the ads are located at the very bottom of the page or mixed in with other ads, you should expect to pay a lower price than if the ads are displayed in the upper fold (where visitors need not scroll down the page to view the ad) or if the ads have no competing ads nearby.

Keep an eye on your ads. The publisher may move the ads, which could affect the number of clicks your ad generates. But don’t worry, AdBrite is good about taking care of their advertisers and will reimburse you accordingly.

Recurring Ads

If your ad is set to run on a “recurring” basis, then you’ll obviously need to keep an eye on it to assure nothing has changed to decrease its performance. Ideally, you’re able to purchase the ad at a low rate and the publisher will approve it on a regular basis. If the price of your recurring ad drops you will get the campaign at the lower rate automatically. If the price of the ad increases, your ad will run at the original price you paid–this is a BIG plus with the AdBrite system.

A recurring ad will typically be approved since with most sites that run four ads, approval occurs with the natural ebb and flow of ad run dates. There’s usually room for your ad at the price you paid, but in certain cases it may get pushed to the next available slot (run date). If a new advertiser buys an ad at a new rate (generally higher), then their ad will run before yours, but in most cases you won’t have to wait long for your ad to run again.

Recurring ads and month long ad campaigns can prove to be beneficial when that site doesn’t have all four advertisers during that month. If your ad is running for the duration of the month, there may be a few or several days where you may receive more clicks since there are only two or three or even one ad competing for those same clicks. Though most of the time publishers will have all four ads running, there may be those few days throughout your campaign when only two ads are runnning, and those are the days you’ll see a big up tick in clicks.

Finding More Sites

Check the link at the bottom of the publisher page that says, ‘people who advertised here also advertised on”. This a great way to find other similar sites that will work for your product or offer-certainly these sites are worth testing.

Today’s Ad Specials

Check the daily specials section–DAILY! The daily specials are located at the bottom of the page in the ‘my account’ section.

Advanced Purchase

Buy month long ads in advance if the price is right – hopefully they’ll be approved. The clear advantage of an advanced purchase occurs when you buy a month long ad at $950/month for say June, July, and August, since the rate for this particular site has been in the $1,500/month range. That way you’re locked in at the lower price. This is important as sometimes sites don’t offer the recurring option, so this is a way to get around that problem and stay on a site for a lower rate.

Performance & Ad Testing

Test, test and then test some more. Try one day tests on different days of the week (usually there are some variation for the days of the week), or do week long tests to gauge different levels of performance. Headline text plays a key role as does your landing page, so vary both and compare the results of all your testing prior to purchasing and renewing those ads.

Monitor your campaigns and corresponding click levels. If you see lower than normal click numbers for a site, submit an edit for ad copy because your current creative might now be a good fit with the audience.

However, in instances, the publisher may have moved the ad to a less visible position or they could have pulled the AdBrite listings all together. At times publishers will pull their ads for some reason. Don’t worry, AdBrite will always reimburse you based upon when the ad was pulled–they always do their best to keep you happy.

International Traffic

A lot of sites have foreign traffic, and most advertisers are looking for just US based traffic, so be careful in the sites you select. This can be one of the few drawbacks of some AdBrite sites. A number of publisher sites send a broad range of traffic and unfortunately you won’t know the exact percentages of international versus domestic traffic until you’ve tested the site. But, AdBrite does offer advertisers an alternative–run of network ads. The great thing about RON ads is that you can specify from which countries you want to receive traffic.

Test different landing pages. For instance, if you have an offer that only pays out commisions for US based traffic, you may consider using a landing page that includes links to international based offers or to ads that don’t require an action (such as a lead or impressions), so you get paid when some just clicks on the ad or for each impression. This way you’ll take advantage of some of that unwanted international traffic (or traffic that doesn’t usually generate revenue for your offer); at you’ll least get paid for some of the traffic. Say one site sends a ton of international traffic but just enough domestic ( US ) traffic to make this site work for your margins. You could have the domestic offer as the center piece of the landing page and then on the periphery you have ads for international visitors or Adsense. For instance, a site sends 70% US traffic and the rest is from Europe or the UK , list a few offers or ads that pertain to this traffic on your landing page. Signing up takes less than 5 minutes and is extremely easy. I say Join Make Money with Adbrite Now! Read on to Part 2.

Caffeinated Content

OML asked:

Selecting Headlines

Just a few words can make a huge difference. You’d be surprised. Some of the more popular terms used are ‘FREE’ or those racy terms, such as ‘SEXY’ or ‘HOT’. Try to use words that attract the visitor’s attention. In this case, prequalifying your visitor is not the best strategy. Since you’ve paid for the entire day, week or month, your goal is to maximize your clicks and increase exposure to your offer. If you’re not successful with your current headlines, see what other advertisers within your industry are doing and alter your ads accordingly. Take a look at some of the Adwords listings at Google and the Overture listings at Yahoo to get an idea for what types of text ads work in your area or niche. You don’t necessarily want to copy directly but rather tweak their ideas a bit to your needs, maybe their ads will even spur you to create a new headline entirely.

Browsing Sites

Search Adrite’s categories to match publisher sites with the offer you’re running. If it’s furniture you’re selling then try to find sites related to furniture such as antiques, new homes, moving or mortgages. Try to aim for related sites but think outside the box, you might find a new site your competition doesn’t know about yet.

Check Adbrite’s new sites listings, ‘new sites’, past seven days’ and ‘yesterday’. Then narrow down further by Alexa rank and traffic origin. You’ll often find the best deals if you’re the first to buy an ad on a new site, but it’s a good idea to do a couple of tests before buying a long term ad. Sometimes the ad rate will be set too high and supply and demand will drop the rate down in the first few weeks but usually the initial rate is lower so it’s good to get in early. While experience can really be helpful here he early bird steals the worm so to speak.

Keep a look out for today’s hot sellers on the right side of the homepage, often these sites offer some good deals or are fairly new. And while your surfing the web, always be on the look out for AdBrite listings, you never know when you’ll find a site that fits your demographic and has AdBrite ads running.

Account Rep

Build a strong relationship with your AdBrite account executive. They will be a great help to you and will notify you when there are new sites and/or a list of sites that could work for your offer. They’re here for you and will assist you in any way they can and as you spend more and more money purchasing ads you can work towards a NET 30 payment terms to help you further increase your advertising budget. If you spend more than $10K per month please contact AdbriteGuide directly and we can put you in touch with the right AdBrite account representative.

PPC Tips and Tricks

Narrow your targeting and demographics with PPC ads–country, age, income, ethnicity, and more.

Test different landing pages – change images and or text.

Bid $1.00, you’ll only be charged the lowest rate that is required to be listed on a site. Be cautious at first but you can bid much higher than you think and you’ll only be charged what it takes to get you on the site.

Setup numerous campaigns, try 5 to 10 different RON ads for your offer or product, using different headlines and descriptions and run them at the same time. Obviously cut ads that are not working but try to find 5 good ad headlines for your product and keep those running at the same time. Set your daily budget to $200.00 or higher since you typically won’t hit that daily spend limit.

Publishers Keys

AdBrite offers a few different options for displaying ads, and much like Google Adsense they can mesh right with your site. You can choose to show one ad or numerous ads–you have a lot of freedom in terms of integrating the ads into your site. Place AdBrite ads only on your homepage or on every page of your site, it’s entirely up to YOU, the publisher.

Make sure to select “show RON ads” when you don’t have any advertisers who have purchased an ad for a period of time. Set this as the default so you’re always showing ads and earning revenue.

Select whether you want to show gambling and adult type ads or more conservative ads that fall in line with your site.

Tag your ad zone

Attract more relevant advertisers to your site. Help advertisers in the AdBrite Marketplace to find you by giving them keywords relevant to your content, your audience, your audience’s interests, etc.

What are some words that describe your site? ex: camera phone pics, camera phone pictures, pc game blog, etc…(enter one keyword or phrase per line).

What can advertisers sell to your visitors? ex: camera cell phones, hardware, ipods, ring tones, etc…

What kind of people visit your site? ex: men, women, geeks, the MySpace crowd, sports fans, new yorkers, singles, movie lovers, musicans, etc…

Highlighted listing — $19.95/month.

Attract buyers’ attention by showing off your listing in AdBrite ’s directory with a highlighted listing.

General listing — Free!

Signing up takes less than 5 minutes and is extremely easy.
Curt Miller asked:

When it comes to the success of your home business, advertising is a key factor. If you do not advertise your home business effectively, no one is going to know about it and you are not going to get any customers. If you think advertising your home business means throwing an ad in the yellow pages and placing a few newspaper ads, you had better think twice. There are many other advertising resources available for your home business and if you are not using them, you are missing out on the advertising jackpot. Post Cards, Business Cards, and Brochures

Every single home business needs to invest in print advertising materials. At the least, you will need a professional business card and many home businesses opt for the benefits of post card and brochure advertising as well.

If you go to a local printing company, you might have to spend hundreds of dollars on printed materials for your home business. Thanks to the Internet, you have much more cost-effective means of getting the advertising materials you need.

After trying numerous online printing services, we found iPrint to offer the best in terms of quality, pricing and service. At iPrint you can get 250 business cards for less than twenty bucks, 100 standard post cards for about twenty-five dollars and five-hundred full-color tri-fold brochures for about three hundred dollars. The website allows you to upload your own custom designs or you can use one of their free templates to create the look and feel you want for your printed materials.

Internet Advertising

Internet advertising is critical to the success of any home business, but not all Internet advertising is equally effective. If you want Internet advertising that really works, you are going to want to invest in cost-per-click advertising.

With cost-per-click advertising, you pay a certain amount of money for each website visitor taken to your site. Because the only people clicking on your ad are people who actually want to see what you have to offer, the conversion ratio for this type of advertising can not be beat.

When utilizing cost-per-click advertising, you put your ad on a high-traffic website and for advertising on that site you pay a certain amount for the average number of clicks you will receive. For example, if your home business sells video games, you would want your text ad to appear on a video game enthusiast website. If you wanted a cost-per-click of ten cents and you wanted to pay a total of one-hundred dollars, you would get about one-thousand visitors to your website.

AdBrite is a company that allows you to place your cost-per-click ad directly on the hottest websites, providing you with a massive amount of leads for your home business. Want your home business ad to appear on the Uploading.com website? Who would not? Uploading.com is the leading provider of secure file upload, transfer and sharing services. It has an Alexa ranking of 517 and receives more than half a million page views each day. With AdBrite, you can have your home business ad on the Uploading.com website for a full seven days for just $523.

The average cost-per-click when you advertise on the Uploading.com site through AdBrite is six cents, so that means for the $523 you pay, you will get more than eight thousand visitors who have made the decision to go to your website through the ad you placed. You could not ask for more cost-effective advertising.

If you can not afford to shell out that much money to start with, AdBrite has literally hundreds of website advertising opportunities to choose from and some start at less than ten bucks a week so you do not have to be left out of the cost-per-click game.

If you want your home business ad shown on the hottest sites on the web, go to Adbrite.com.

In addition to cost per click advertising, you may want to look into pay-per-click advertising. With pay-per-click advertising, you list your text ad with a website or search engine and place a bid to pay a certain amount of money per click you receive. The more you bid, the better your ad placement will be.

When someone performs a search for the keywords you have selected for your website, they will see your ad. If they click on your ad, you pay the amount you agreed to pay for each click. If you agreed to pay twenty cents a click and one-hundred people clicked on your ad, you would pay twenty dollars for one-hundred visitors. This is another highly-effective way to get targeted traffic to your home business website.

At GoGoHub.com, pay-per-click advertising is really affordable because the searches are localized… therefore you don’t waste money on clicks from people who are out of your local area.

Promotional Gifts

Everyone loves getting a gift and while great customer service is first when it comes to customer loyalty, promotional gifts run a close second. Your best customers need to know that you appreciate their business and promotional gifts are a great way to do that. However, promotional gifts serve a dual purpose. Not only do they show valued customers your appreciation, they also advertise your home business and are a constant reminder of the products and services you offer.

For a long time, it was hard for fledgling home businesses to customize and order promotional gifts for their customers. Because most companies would require a home business to place a substantial minimum order, the costs were quite prohibitive. While it may be fine to pay four or five dollars for a customized hat to give away, when you have to order five hundred of those hats, it can wreck havoc on your home business budget.

Thanks to the Internet, this is no longer a problem for home business owners. Websites like CafePress.com allow customers to create customized promotional gifts to give to their customers and they do not have any minimum order requirements. Whether you want to order one promotional gift or one hundred, CafePress.com can serve your needs.

Website content

Jansen D’Silva asked:

There are topics arising around most forums i visit about website owners who laments of getting banned from Google Adsense’s program. Most say without any valid reason, Google banned their account – Make sense?

This surely prompted me to write this article which might just make some sense on why Google will ban an Adsense account. Of course there are reasons! some known to many and some never knew of it at all. Below are some of the reasons (never knew) why Google will ban an Adsense account.

1. Encouraging users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as ‘click the ads’, ‘support us’, ‘visit these links’ or any similar jargon.

2. Directing users attention to the ads via arrows or any graphical gimmicks.

3. Placing misleading labels above the Google ad units. For instance, ads may be labeled as ‘Sponsored Links’ but not ‘Favorite Sites’.

4. Sites displaying Google ads that contain ‘pop-ups’ or ‘pop-unders’ which interfere’s with the site’s navigation.

5. Driving traffic via online advertising to pages that displays Google ads are deceptive to users.

6. Placing Google ads on pop-ups, pop-unders or in an email.

7. Elements on a page that obscure any portion of the Google ads.

8. Google ads placed on pages that are published specifically for showing ads whether or not the page content is relevant.

On your lucky day Google might give you a second chance should you get banned but if they dont, it’s not the end of the road. There are abundant of Adsense Alternatives and two of my favorites are Bidvertiser and Adbrite.

Caffeinated Content – Members-Only Content for WordPress

Jon Bergan asked:

Everyone is clicking links. Whether it be link found through a search engine or a link from one website to another, people are hopping around the World Wide Web in a frenzy for information. With all this clicking going on, Internet marketers are trying to find the best way of getting users to click their links and it seems one of the best methods of doing so is via PPC or Pay Per Click Advertising.

To put it in layman’s terms, Pay Per Click Advertising is a type of search marketing where advertisers pay a specified amount every time their ad or website link is clicked by a prospect. This is otherwise known as a “click thru”. The more you spend per click, the more your advertisement/link will appear on the specified site.

There are many companies and websites that cater for Pay Per Click Advertising such as Google, Yahoo!, Live, AdBrite, MSN Messenger, Overture and more. Each of them offer a straight forward means of setting up your campaign. No more expensive trips to the local Internet marketing guru! A prime example is Google AdWords. Anyone with a Google Account can login, create an ad, dump some cash into their Google AdWords Account and they’re on their way. It’s really as simple as that and before you know it, your site will be getting hits from visitors who are actually after what you’re selling – perfect!

One thing we should note is that PPC Advertising, especially through search engines such as Google and Yahoo!, does not directly help with your search engine’s ranking. Sure, your link and site popularity will increase which will have a positive impact, however it definitely isn’t enough to bring your site to pole position. PPC Advertising is simply a great way of attracting the appropriate users to your site. It just isn’t free.

With this in mind, Pay Per Click Advertising does work for many websites and a lot of people are doing it. What are you waiting for? Create that Google Account, set a monthly limit on how much you’d like to spend and get the ball rolling. Just remember that PPC Advertising is not the be all and end all and it definitely will not miraculously boost your search engine ranking overnight. It is just simply just another weapon in your marketing arsenal.

Caffeinated Content for WordPress
