How to Install Solar Panels

Monday, June 22nd, 2009 |

First you need to know what solar panels is and its function. Basic I guess, Always know the fundamentals before proceeding to complicated steps.

Solar panel describes two types of devices – Solar photovoltaic modules and Solar thermal collectors – that collect energy from the sun, a clean and environmentally sound means of collecting solar energy.

Solar photovoltaic modules use solar cells to convert light from the sun into electricity. While Solar thermal collectors use the sun’s energy to heat water or another fluid such as oil or antifreeze.

And since we need sun light, it’s necessary to position your solar panel in direct sunlight – install your panels to rooftops, building tops, or stand-alone facilities so that it gets the most direct sun exposure and you make sure your solar panel is maximally effective year round.

Here are some easy steps how to mount your solar panels:

  1. Use (PV) mounting systems (Unirac, FastJack, TileTrac are just few to review).
  2. Align mounts on top of rafters using chalk line or laser sight – to keep the mounts in a straight line – then pre-drill with a pilot bit to avoid splitting the rafters.
  3. Secure the mounts using stainless steel lag bolts.
  4. Placed metal flashing over the mounts and while the layer of roofing was hot-mopped.
  5. Install pre-assembled and hard wired solar panels in groups.
  6. Applied a layer of reflective roof coating.
  7. Run the conduit to connect the panels to the inverter.

iPhone 3.0 Update: Download Problems (How To Fix It)

Thursday, June 18th, 2009 |

iPhone and iPod Touch owners this is for you, finally you guys have the chance to download and install the new iPhone 3.0 OS software, which provides an array of features like Cut, Copy & Paste, Landscape Keyboard, MMS, Spotlight Search, Voice Memos, Improved Calendar, Enhanced Stocks App, Buy Movies, TV Shows, and Audiobooks.

iPhone 3.0 Update Download Problems (How To Fix It)

The problems people are experiencing is “We could not complete your iTunes Store request” afterward “Slide for Emergencies”, when they near the end of iPhone 3.0 OS installation process. It’s because there are too many download requests happening at the same time iPhone activation server is temporarily unavailable.

A few options Apple Team have seen work so far:
(Mashable)

  • Click on iTunes Store, then back to your phone in iTunes: This was how at least I resolved my issue. It essentially repeats the iTunes store request.
  • Keep clicking O.K. on the popup error: We’ve heard that this works, too.
  • Ejecting and plugging back in: Both Joe Tech and Business Insider ejected their iPhones and plugged them back in without losing data. We don’t suggest this option unless absolutely necessary (simply waiting until later would be the more prudent option).
  • Patience: As the demand decreases, the servers will recover and there will be less error messages.

Hope this post can help to those iPhone owner.
